OVERVIEW
Rail House is a 13-unit apartment building in Seattle’s Columbia City neighborhood designed to provide attractive and affordable housing near public transit. Developed through a collaboration between the client, atelierjones, and Valor, the project combines efficient living spaces with distinctive architectural character.
The exterior features a bold mix of red hardie paneling, black metal detailing, concrete, and aluminum panels. Thoughtful window placement maximizes both privacy and natural light, while interior features such as heated concrete floors, rooftop decks, and Juliette balconies create comfortable, modern homes for residents.
